Question about the fan?

How often should the fan come on? I am not sure mine is working. How long should I have to ride before it kicks on for the first time? Is it designed to run once you turn off the atv? I just need a way to test and make sure this thing kicks on.

Mine runs when it gets hot until it cools down. Whether the key is on or off. I think it will shut off when the ecu drops power after you turn the key off.

Fan comes on at 80 deg celsius just hook up D&M and watch temp rise when it hits 80c fan should come on.

If you don't have a D&M, you could go to radio shack for a 100 - 150 ohm resister to test it. Insert the two ends of the resister into the contacts of the coolant temperature sensor. This will simulate a CRITICAL warning in the ECU & turn on the fan.
Don't forget to hook the sensor back up. LOL
