Does anyone know why Cannondale puts a metal plate first and last in their baskets. I wouldn't think it would be a good idea to put metal on metal. Has anyone tried putting an extra friction plate and getting rid of one of the metals or something along these lines. I haven't seen any aftermarket clutches.

The metal on metal is fine because its not spinning against one another.Just the fibres are.Saves your clutch hub.Anyone whos owned the 2strokes knows how fast those hubs wear.Dales last forever or at least till plates notch inner too bad.I went through 1 clutch hub in 5 years.Thats awesome.
