I got this motor in to fix up and make it rip.Really a odd combo of parts.Major issue with it was a cracked sleeve and toasted cambearing.Looks like it was also left outside with valvecover and sidecover off.Crazy people! Not sure whether it was leaking liner or rain that got water and therefore rust in the oil but still should be salvagable. Will post a bunch of pics and see who can list the most oddball parts like as in 03part and 01,02 part etc. and damaged parts see what you think is all wrong. One who lists most odd parts and problems wins a Cannondaleriders calender.

rod and pin look good

Good thing you don't take photos for a living....

Why does it look like someone put cam bearing retaining rings on the upper & lower of the cap?
FX400 cams (hard to see the cam sensor tang or not?) But at least early 02 cams
Needs a heck of a port realignment job
Missing oil bridge retaining ring (funny, it's on in the next pic...LOL)
Metal oil pump gears (01-02)
Timing chain needs a trash bin to keep it in
Possibly out of time on the cams???
Early model oil pump due to the exposed snap rings to the check balls
Billet timing chain guide spacer
8-disc clutch (someone changed the clutch before frying motor with new style)
2003 Crank Plate Stud Kit
Aluminum Engine side cover (Early 02 & 01)
Torx bolts on clutch cover
Early FX / MX Factory aluminum valve cover with cam sensor
Torx bolts on Water outlet cover
Late model crank in early model case
Late 02 stator (not update)
Oil bridge looks funky but pic sucks, looks like a different seal on top side of bridge???
SS Factory Oil filter with individual quad rings
2 shims on outside of cam idler gear instead of one, and a washer under the outer retaining bolt..oops
Slightly trashed liner w/ ASSO piston
Piston rings siezed on piston...
Looks like the oil pump pin sheared on the counter balancer
Countershaft bearing will need some oil to ever turn again....lol
One way bearing and inner counter balancer hub look like sh!t!
Nice oblong shaped hole on the scavenge pump cover outlet
Needs oil vent line update (motor out of a quad, probably FX400 or early 01-02 Cannibal)
Nice pile of poop in the head oil drain back hole, looks metallic
Aluminum valve spring retainers

Hurry up and rebuild that poor girl she was abused.

OK, the picture of the cam cap was wierd, I see the loose bolt now. I guess the pile of pooh is the decomp?? Is that what you are trying to communicate in the cam cover pic? Looks like the inner snap ring is missing on the oil bridge to hold the timing chain guide on. No drain plug in the water outlet.....The oil filter threw me because of the ton of crap on it and the o-ring in the distance kind of look like a quad ring. Is this a hydro case?

The exhaust ports looked like they've been opened up, but the intake side doesn't look like it's been touched.
