I have a trans in my bike that is supposed to be pretty fresh and it does not always like to stay in neutral. It can be idling in neutral and sometimes all of the sudden jumps into gear. My older trans never did that. Not too cool. Is this something that has happened to anybody else? Can I fix it? I'm using AMS oil in the trans and the clutch works perfectly.

Thanks

Its really rare to have tranny issues. Can you tell if your shifter returns to center? There is a spring that does this. You should be able to feel this spring pressure with your fingers.Either way you cant get at much without removing the sidecover(motor).

Not common at all. Could be a loose shifter drum, one of the springs may not be in the ratchet mech. or the main spring that keeps it located in place.

Oh yes that Shifter Pawl is something you need to watch at rebuilds. Can get really sloppy at the bearing. Will get a pic of it later.
