hi, im new to the forum i seen a 2002 cannondale speed forsale locally it has a 450 kit he wants $2500 itsbasically brand new with under 40hrs on it what are these updates that need to be done to these quads and where can i get them done? i am not familar with these quads i just had a 2006 lt450r and sold it now i just wanted a cheap quad to do mx on. can someone break down the "updates" that ussually need to be done? thanks

If it's got a 450 kit in it, it should have the critical ones done but never assume that. Is it a stroker 450 or big bore?
Here are the main ones:
Z400 crank bearing
case bolts locktited
front engine mount update
aluminum valve cover or Evans
water pump impeller
A bunch of other little stuff.
You need to find out exactly what has been done and by whom. If they can't tell you and they just say all the updates, that sadly pretty much means none of the updates.
