Not looking for bashing, arguing, etc. Just saw the article and thought it was interesting that this doen't just happen to the C-Dale community! Big money, big claims, big dissapointment.

Great job on cycle world's part to actually put this into print.

My Falicon has made great horsepower and has been extremly reliable, but it wasn't perfect when we got it. The splines we cut wrong and the drive gear wobbled pretty good. We took a chance and ran it and it lasted just fine, but in my oppinion somthing like that should never happen when you pay that kind of cash for a product from a "reputable" company.

I know others have had way more issues than I've had and Falicon did nothing for those guys. And now we find out they are cutting corners and using the wrong pin in our cranks...all of them? Probably.

Thanks to Tim's cranks we dont have to put up with this nonsense to get good reliable power.

Thanks to Cycle World for giving an honest review and not trying to make a buck and Marc for posting this. Good find.

Wow, that's a lot to deal with! But I have to ask...9 times? I would have called it quits after the 2nd or 3rd try probably. Sounds like another South Bay.

They told him he had to much compression and should mod the piston? I remember Powroll telling me my 2 week old piston which had piston slap and smoked heavily from the first time I started it was worn out .020" because I ran a K@N filter on it. They did resleeve my incorrectly bored cyllinder but made me pay for the sleeve.
It did run for several years after that though. That Honda was the black hole of cash. It was a good learning experience. I learned how to port crappy flowing cyllinder heads.

Three brother's racing isn't much better. They installed the kit but never checked clearances????

I don't think I have ever seen a company go so much backwards as Falicon has in recent years. They were the cream of the crop at one time and their products were the best at one time. Tim would be in heaven in their machine shop. But it is painfully obvious now that they simply do not know what they are doing and worse yet will not back it up. Unfortunately since we only had less than 50 cranks ever made (over several orders), we don't have much clout in telling them what to do. I agree with Pete on the install issue, how did the piston condition get past the installer? The guy also had an adjustable cam timing gear installed, you would have had to turn the motor over to check the timing and the piston would have hit them on the bench. How sad......
