I think we can all agree that the kit Dave has put together for opening up the fuel flow is a fantastic modification. I have one of his kits on my bikes as well and his attention to detail in creating this is second to none.

Last weekend I had wanted to run my fullbore plastics, and I noticed that because it is thinner in the tank area...it would not clear where the petcock was on the side of the tank. I also have 2 MX bikes with 250r kits and I am using small threaded steel petcocks on that, so I wondered if these would somehow fit on to our stock tank fittings.

I took out the quick connects from the tank and removed the quick connect portion from the barbed end and noticed that it was a perfect fit for the 1/4 in NPT petcock I have been using. There were no clearance issues, and the best part is there is no need to drill into the sides of the stock tank and you can retain the stock location and the fuel line as well. I dont know if this would work clearance wise on the old style tank with the pickup at the back, however with the later tanks you should have no problems.

I will grab some pics when I get a chance, but they sell the petcocks for about $5 on ebay.

I need to take a picture of my set-up one of these days and post it. Cost me about $20 total probably to include new fuel line.
