I took out my piston and sleve, the sides of the piston and sleve had some scuff on them, I assume that means it's trash???

Run your fingernail across them on the sleeve. If you catch them then it would be best to replace. If there really isn't anything there then you can just hone and go. I would replace the rings though.

there will be scuffing as soon as you start it up,like it was said earlier at least change the rings while your in there,im not gonna say replace them even though stock piston and sleeve is fairly reasonable because i understand money doesnt grow on trees like some people think..hehe

Great, thanks for the tips, I will check and replace the rings.

What is your reason for taking it apart? Something else go wrong with it?

Yeah, look a my previous post, "engine problem" looks like the crank bearing is starting to go.
