Went to start the FX today, primed the pump, smelled fuel, looked at the pressure gauge, it was dropping fast. Oh no ohmy.gif , looked at the injectors, the right one was leaking. It was dripping out at the cap. Pulled the plastic, checked fuel lines at the injector area, they are all new and okay. Wiggled the cap a little, primed the pump, the leak stopped and held pressure. Pulled the injector, looked okay btw, the clip was tight (the one that holds the injector in). I guess the o-rings are bad? Anything else to check? unsure.gif Thanks.

Thats probably the deal right there. Possibly the head bore for the injector, but I doubt it.
Be sure to fix this right away !!! Not worth losing a Dale over an o-ring !!!

Thanks for the reply, this is the first time it has done this. I guess the o rings just get old and decay alittle.

Injector orings for the caps are readily available at most parts stores in thier universal kits. Tr to roll them on without cutting them. A slight amount of oil or lube helps a lot.

Our injectors use the same orings on the caps as gm gen.1 injectors.

So true the corvette injectors I've been using have exactly the same orings.

Well on a positive note, put the new o rings in, no more leak. They are s.o.b.s to get in, even with grease on them!

Yes they are. I try to avoid removing the bonnets if at all possible.
