I am in need of some help on a speed 440. I bought this thing a couple years ago, used it for one season and sold it to my neighbor. He took the engine out to change the gasket for the water pump and now has the timing off. After he couldn't start it again, he kindly returned it to me without paying anymore money. If there is anyone around the area of Little Rock, AR. Please let me know. I will bring it to you if I could just get help. The closest place to get this serviced is about 6 1/2 hours away. All I can say, is that this thing needs some help. I hate having it sit there like this. I did replace the coil pack and injectors. Thanks for any help.

How did he goof-up the timing removing the waterpump gasket? Are you sure it isn't something else? Did he pull the cam cover off also?

Yes. He changed the baskets there also.

Are you willing to learn how to fix this? If so get a camera for taking pics, a compression tester for diagnosis and then answer these questions. Does it have spark, fuel into engine and compression? After those questions are answered and confirmed. Pictures of the motor with sidecover off need to be taken. If not willing or able to learn to answer these questions remove the motor and send it to one of the engine builders on here.

I will do anything to fix this. It will be a couple days until I get the other 4- wheeler out of the shop so I can bring this one in. Thanks.
