If you're going shopping, look for the 45?? feelers instead of straight. But, either will work.

My intake valves are way out I can almost fit a .50mm under it

I believe that the shims are a standard size for most modern four stroke bike and motorcycle motors... the z-400 and rmz450 comes to mind if you need to ask for something specific. Most shops will have a kit and might give you some trade in value you for yours and you might as well unless you plan to build allot of motors.

You would measure your gap with a feeler gauge and your current shim and use the chart in the back of the book to tell you exactly what shim will get you where you need to be. Go easy on the cam caps... the torque in the book is a bit high and has been know to contribute to cause the cam bearings to fail. If you are changing buckets, cams or valves this would be the last thing you do.
