i have replaced the fuel pump the relay by the ecu checked all conn. and grounds new battery,filters,o rings,quik connects.it will only run if you pull it and hold the starter switch in.let off it shuts off.ran fine last time i rode it.battery failed and would not hold a charge so i replaced it and still no start.think i lost my hex code?i have the dm kit and recalibrated the throttle and have no faults.how do i download a new hex if that is it?

This is a new one on me. I wouldn't think it would run at all without the hex code, starter switch or not. Soulnds like an electrical short or open somewhere to me.

I have heard of this before and am looking into it.Have you checked the fuse?

yeah fuse is good and i should have mentioned before that the engine will turnover with th startswitch.everything works as it should but it will not fire unless you pull it and keep the start button depressed.i have cleaned and reapplied dielectric grease to every connector.cleaned the injectors.i am going to pull the stator and check to see if hasn't rubbed through.anyone think that could do it?
