I got a chance to pick up the original all aluminum valve cover, do they also pit and corrode like the magnesuim ones? Also does this make sense to change if its more durable or will the water pump area just corrode away instead?

I understand the aluminum is much better than the mag. one. I have an original aluminum and have had no problems.

The aluminum won't corrode like the magnesium. Aluminum cover + Evans or Engine Ice ... you are :head:

I think that's why he is putting a few things on Ebay, just to advertise the wealth of items that he has for sale for all Cannondales biggrin.gif

I'd say you don't have to be in a rush to get this done. next time you pull the engine, valve check maybe, examine the cover and if corrosion is present replace then. Maz will still have them, i'm sure.
