My cutdown HMF

#1 Post by Bags »

I cut off about 6.5 inches last night and put everything back together. This thing is loud. I do not have to worry about someone hitting my tip anymore though. Was kinda hard to expand the tube to accept the tip again.

Sweet looking. I was told that shortening it by about 4 inches helps on the low end. I don't know what 6.5" will do, but I am curious.smile.gif

I removed my silencer from the quad. Then I removed the four bolts that hold the end cap in place. Then used the rubber hammer to gently tap on the end cap to free it from the can. Then with the end cap removed I used a chop saw to cut off what I didn't want. Next I drilled four holes in the can so I could reinsert the bolts that hold the end cap in place.

Actually pretty easy.
