enging timing

#1 Post by bouncerdude »

ive posted about this before but i never saved the info and i need it now. i have some timeing info about the two cam gears that i got from cannondale27 with the stage8 kit. but how should the revolution of the piston be in referance to the two cam gears? is the piston supposed to be top dead center when the gear markings are opposite or what? i need some help here. thanks.

yes, put the TDC bolt into the crank and then set your cams

does the crank have to be in a certain position or does the tdc bolt bring the crank to the position reqiured to set the cams like in the diagram supplied with the stage 8 kit?

there is a hole in the crank that the TDC bolt goes into. Just look through the TDC bolt hole with a flashlight and turn the crank, you'll find it.
