has anybody had this problem with their chain adjustment system not working ? in other words won't take out the slack or give you slack . :confused:

i've got 13/39 gearing. this is a new chain , but i can't get any slack .:confused:

it should be 94 right

im running 14/42 and have good chain slack with no half links but one problem si that my hole in the carrier is either on top of the axis line that they put in the manual, or just below it on the inside ofthe quad...hasn't done any harm yet, specially without the tm designs chain guard

Without sounding like an idiot, what combo did the moto run with 18"s? And is it the same length chain as the rest of the quads?

i think the moto ran 13 x 38 or 39 but some have said 14x38/39 my manual says 13 front

Moto's are 14/40 with a 96 link chain.:usa (that's from the factory)

guess i found yet another fault in the 02 manual..they probably should have hired a better typer with less typos:confused:

So the all the Cdales came with a 14T front? And the rears were diffrent? Or am I backwards?:eek:

Moto's came with 14/40 and all the others 13/42

I went to a 14 front and couldn't get a chain to fit either, 96 was too short, 98 too long. I'm now running 14/40 with a 96
