different overflow bottles?

overflow bottle had a leak...so i changed it with a new one from atk...the only thing is my old one didn't have an overflow hose and the new one does....does this mean my model is self bleed type? still shuts off after a bit of riding...and overflows coolant from the hose...need help ...thanks in advance...

That tube is not an overflow, it is for the bleed line off the waterpump cover that you don't have. The system is supposed to be completely sealed and is under pressure. You need to plug the hole or get a new waterpump cover and hookup the bleed hose.

hey when the same thing happened to me i went to napa and got a vaccuum hose block off thing like what u put on a carb when u rnt gonna use that vacume line thats what i did in march and havent had a prob with it yet
