When I got a new filter I coated it with KN filter oil, now it runs slower than b4 (I think). Is it supposed to be oiled or...

Ive been doing the same thing since i bought my dale. I havn't noticed a decrease in power.

Be sure you use the right type of oil on your filters. K&N oil is for cotton gauze type only. Its not tacky enough for foam and will settle out .

Also watch how much you put on it. Too much oil will choke the filter up!
