Are both terminals on the fuel pump capped by rubber insulated caps? JIM

Ours has done that to us as well. The first time was because it was out of fuel the other the battery was low and finally I think the fuel filter was dirty the third time. Hope this helps.

Swelled quick disconnect orings?

Do you see fuel flowing through the fuel filter when you hear the fuel pump whine noise?

If you see fuel you could also have a clogged fuel return line.

Not sure the quads are the same but the dirtbikes have a pick-up hose inside the fuel tank. If it falls off then the fuel doesn't flow very good or at all.

Thats a couple things to check. Hopefully it gives you a few ideas.
