when i turn my key on the fuel pump makes a screching sound, its horable any ideas what it is?

Does it stop after a few seconds? and not screech while running?

.....typical outburst. It's saying "I'm old, or I'm cold!" or some weird language, some worse than others while coming up to pressure after sitting, probably OK but you might want to keep lookout for a spare.

Mine sounds weird too but I think its because of the cold. It's 8 degrees in my garage right now but when it was warm, it doesn't do it.

Is there any symptoms right before they completely die? Just wondering that way if they get too bad, I'll replace it so that it doesn't die while i'm mid-flight over a jump. How much are the MSD's everyone is buying?

i just bought one from summit tonight for 60 bucks plus 9 bucks handling. it has "free" ups ground shipping. hope to hook it up and have it solve my mess this weekend.
