kill switch

will a universal kill switch work on a cannondale, they sell them at the local honda shop and everyone has them on their 450s and i was wonderin if it would work on my speed thanks

No, Only a closed circuit kill switch will work. Most standard kill switches are open circuit. I may have that back wards though.

Yeah Cannondales have an open circuit system and all the others have a closed circuit system.

So if you hooked one up, it would only run when pressed. Kinda like other tethers except pingle

so i CAN NOT just go to the local honda dealer and get one?

No, call up Haydug, check Ebay, or various other sources. They all have them somewhere around $50 new. Better to get it right the first time. Besides, I'm not sure on your local Honda dealer, but the ones they sell at mine don't last more than a few months before they quit working anyway.

..Funny my pingle is always giveing me the fits,the one i had on my honda 25$ never gave me any issues..

thought I post this and maybe save somebody a couple of bucks (about 30 instead of 50)
this one would work for a dale because its the same type as a pingle. Even has the diagram to wire it up!!
This is a great site, i learned a lot from it.

Mine did this too at first but found out a small fix, for mine atleast. I spliced and reconnected the wires different and then coated them w/some electrical tape down the entire setup to the switch itself. It works perfectly all the time now.

..Thanks Psychosis...Im going to look mine over a again real close. I think im going to get rid of the key switch,trying to clean the bike up some,but at the same time i dont like the idea of useing the pingle all the time..
