Cannondaleriders

i took it off and forgot about it and started it and man it was loud!!!! though better go try it!!!

man it ran so much better with out it!!! will it hurt to run with out it.

I know that Jeff Stoess lost his at a race and it ran fine to finish. I wouldn't recommend riding a lot with out.

mine fell off also, still ran good. don't throw it away and just run a straight pipe though. many people here have started their dales without the header on it on it

Does a Cale not need a little back pressure? Without the slip on wouldn't it run lean? Then burn up the engine?

I would be worried about the flame burning through the gas tank:(

I'd think it'd burn the valves up but it may be different for Cdales....

I would be worrried about the valves too.

Maybe run a little lean but you would definately do damage to the fuel tank/hose before your valve broke.

This isn't like a 2 stroke where you must have back pressure to run. I start every rebuild without the exhaust just to be sure she runs ok. And yeah, its very loud.

with mine there is no way it would melt anything!!!! it just comes out under the plastic above the tire.
