hey guys im pretty far into my rebuild and its almost time to put the head on but since i got a new case i need to put the cylinder studs in. are these supposed to be torqued? if so then how many pounds? and since they round how can u measure a torque on them? thanks a lot

quick torque value... need help asap
That's a tough question!
I've never seen or heard of a spec for the studs into the case. Hopefully somebodies got something that wasn't published.
If I had to go at it w/o a spec, I'd say to go about 10 ft*lbs tighter than the head nuts so you wouldn't have to worry about cracking the Loc-Tite when you tighten the head nuts. Of course, high-temp red LocTite would be in order. As for how to tighten, you could use two nuts locked together. Just don't go overboard when locking them together.
