Denton stabilizer mount

#1 Post by KYmxracer52 »

Does anyone know of a replacement rubber bushing I can put in my denton stabilizer? I have the original one and the rubber mounted end that attaches to the stem has a lot of slop in it. Its the piece right at the end of the piston. Any ideas?

It is a nonredbuildable Denton right? If so I will take a look at mine and see if I can make you a bushing. One in there may be a permanent type like molded in so it might take some work to get it out.

yeah, I hate to buy a whole new stabilizer just for the worn bushing. I was thinking of maybe taking some rubber and drilling a hole in the middle and putting the metal sleeve in it and just using a big washer on the top and bottom of the bushing with the bolt through it to hold it in.

That would work great. You could make it out of Polyurethane to make it last longer. No reason for rubber in there.
