I was cleaning my Blaze up after riding this past weekend and noticed some oil in the airbox and airfilter. After doing some searching on the forums I have decided I need to do the crankcase breather update. I was wondering if anybody sells a kit or am I just going to have to make a trip to the hardware store to get the parts I need.
I am a newbie and have only had my dale for 1 week. I should have gotten one a long time ago. It was great smoking all my buddies on their Raptors.
The one I had blow out filter it would do it if real cold out and high rpm.As simple as it is to do I would do it so you dont end up like some who just kept riding with oil puking out.Once it fills the air chamber at back right spar it can create a continuing effect.I have seen them after this happened with only a 1/2 quart of oil left in motor. Not good.Plus changing oil is simpler without that bango to line up.Its a good cheap fix.Do it.
If you do put the lines in make the t fitting on the upper spar as close as possible to the right side of the frame. In the stock position its always getting in the way of air box assembly.
Without even taking the plastic off, you could do a quickie update with just a 1/4" Tee and 3 clamps. Even that may be better than the stock setup, and you could always increase the hose diameter later.
