Engine Problem

#1 Post by T-Rex »

The last time I started my quad, it was hard to start and it smoked real bad for about two minutes. Well today after three weeks of setting I decided to go and ride it a little. I noticed a puddle of oil under neath the quad and it come out of the exhaust connection. I tried to start it but it locked up (but stills turns) I feel the combustion chamber is full of oil. BUT HOW!!!! and WHY!!!!

Is it time for me to go stroker and be done with it....

Going stroker wont help that.It is just the checkball syndrom.Alot of them will slowly leak allowing too much oil into motor from frame. If you ride it alot this wont normally happen.Thing to do now is remove spark plug and turn it over with rag over hole to keep all the oil from spraying everywhere. Then drain all the oil and add new 1.5 qts. Then ride it or at least start it up and warm it up fully once in awhile.
