Just got my D&M and want to get my bike squared away. First I need a map. Looking for suggestions. I was running a moto map before. I don't want the higher redline of that map and would like to switch to a lower rev limit. I don't mind a very snappy throttle response either. The engine has a falicon and HMF exhaust, no porting or 450 piston. Any ideas?

Also could some tell me or point me in the direction of hwo to use the offset and flow settings to tune the bike? I have always had a very hard time starting this thing when it was hot. Pretty sure I need to tweak some settings to cure this.

TIA

Once you figure out which map you want to use, adjust your flowrate first. If you aren't using an AFR meter, you have the terrible task of plug chopping. Once you get that where you want it, you need to adjust the offset. I think you want the tps at 3-5% with your idle at around 2100 rpm to be about right for quick starting. Note: Tuning the flowrate down actually richens the mixture. And, adjust your flowrate by 100 until you get close and then try adjusting by 50. Or start adjusting by 50...your choice.

Poor hot starts are usually a lean condition. Adding .5 to 1.0 to your throttle offset can cure that.

Was able to play with it a bit today. It had a real rough idle from being to lean. Before the rebuild the idle was OK but it probably was still lean. I adjusted the offset from 1.3 to 1.45. That seemed to smooth out the idle. I havent really been able to check the hot start problem yet. It was worse when out on the trails. This testing was done just sitting outside the garage.
