Does any one have or know where I can get all the measurements for the stock quad swingarm? I need to know length, size if bearing carrier hole, size of swingarm bearing hole, position of shock mount, etc. I would use mine but I don't want to take it off the quad.

The reason for all this is a friend of mine makes swingarms out of 4130 Cromoly steel, much lighter and more durable than our stock ones. I have been told that a stock swingarm weighs around 20-25 lbs, and he can make them around 7-10 lbs.... a considerable weight difference.

So, if anyone could get me that info or possibly let me borrow a swingarm for measurment, I could get it to him and possibly have a less exspensive route to good quality swingarms for our quads.

Thanks.

Will get you all the measurements in morning. What is best way to measure the shock mount though?Would think that using a existing one to make the jig would be much more accurate.

Yes I got 20lbs but that is everything including carrier and the skids.Tuscon better to have him make jig off of one.No really good way of measuring locations of all the holes and shock mount.

Without the carrier and everything they are pretty darn light, I thought so anyways. Should have put it on a scale...

Hey,
A local shop already makes those swing-arms for our Dales.

The drag-lite is 6.5lbs not bad!
