I am tring to perform the the stator wiring upgrade on my quad but I cannont get the flywheel off. Does anyone now if a honda or yamaha puller will work? Or where I might be able to get one for a dale or anything else that might be used to pull the flywheel. Thanks

A Stihl chainsaw flywheel puller works. Just go to a stihl dealer and just have them pull it off.

The site sponser Black Widow has them for pretty cheap. Give them a call. It would suck to pay to have it taken off and then have another problem later & have to pay again. Buying one solves that problem.

Any husky 2 or 4 stroke
husaberg400,501,and 600 single cyllinder
motoplat whatever that is
atk enduro models
bultalco, ossa, montesa from the 60 and 70's mx bikes

the puller is part number is mp#12 from dennis stubblfield sales inc
$17 the best one Ive found

The stihl chainsaw ones dont last long

threads are 26mm x 1.5 internal

Any local motorcycle shop can get these in one day or Black Widow has them.
Do not use anything else to remove the flywheel or you will damage it.

The puller wistech is talking about can be bought through Dennis Kirk as well. They are a distributor for the company he mentioned.

All the update is is where the stator wires which go up and out of the flywheel cavity there is a clip that holds them tight to the case so flywheel doesnt hit them.Update is to extend the protective sleeve covering those wires up past the clip. Also check the wires to see if they are worn through already. If sleeve is past the clip you have the update already.
