My quad has been cutting out and stalling the past couple times out. It seems to only do it at slower speeds or when decelerating and down shifting. Sometimes it will cut out or backfire and other times it will shut down like the key was turned off. The thing that is stuming me is that it always starts right back up without hesitation. I have just installed a new battery, fuel filter and checked all grounds and installed star washers if they were not there. I also checked the bullet connectors and reconnected with dielectric grease. At first i thought it might be quick connects but when it dies the fuelfilter is full and there is a nice stream on the return line. I am trying to have it ready for the group ride this coming weekend so time is running short to order parts if necessary. Could this be a coil problem or possibly a defective tether switch because i am running out of ideas?
Thanks
cutting out
The early hex code has been known to do this on occasion and sometimes the code will get corrupted from bad connections, voltage spikes and the likes. Load a 4k hex, map and do a throttle cal and try it again. If you dont have a D&M somebody will at the group ride and they will help you out.
Check the oil filter to make sure that there is no metal in it to rule out an obvious internal problem. Best way is to cut out several pleats with a utility knife and squeeze it in a vise

Fuel filter should not be full when it is running ever.Sure sounds like quickconnects.A new filter and free flowing disconnects fuel flows directly though the filter with none or very little collecting in there. With quickconnects stock it shouldnt be over half full.
I have a petcock coming from canniboomer to eliminate the quick connect on the back of the tank. I will replace the one in the front with a barbed fitting to eliminate any restriction. The thing that had me confused is, if it was starving for fuel why doesn't the fuel pump come on when i start it after it dies?
Thanks
