Wayne, if I didn't know better, I would think you were talking about the US. I don't understand peoples mentality with throwing away money on China crap. Not to mention , supporting the labor ethics of the Chinese manufactures.

I hear all the time that it is our governments fault for all our jobs going over seas. I put the blame back on the consumer who insists on buying based on sticker price alone and then blame Uncle Sam for losing his job.

I do agree that the cost of producing a product in the US is hindered greatly by all the idiotic regulations, Unions, taxes, etc.

I get into this debate often, alot of times with myself huh.gif In the auto industry I keep hearing people say that at least their Ford, GM or Dodge is an American corp. and they say if they buy a forein car the money goes over seas.

If an American company imports the product or even most of the product, aren't they sending the money over seas? and the company will put more presssure on the goverment to make it easier to import.

If you buy a forien brand and it's made in the US the profits may go over seas (some probably do get reinvested here) but all the workers have to pay income tax, buy groceries and other services that are done by US workers.

I agree with the first and second and a lot of the third. But there is contradiction in the third Idiotic regulations may be way overboard but it is those regulation which improved the labor ethics (do you think a company would pay overtime after 40 hrs. if it wasn't required?). Also there are many different Unions out there and I don't like the way a lot of them work. I am a union member and so is my wife. as for her union, I would say you are right. as for my union i would say you are wrong. At my last job I was a foreman and had to deal with the Unions on both hireing and letting some go. I am not useing the fireing word mainly because when I had a problem with a worker, I called the union and explained what and why and I had no problems. one other thing, I was not requiered to hire out of the hall. I only done it after I exhausted the applications from the office.

AS for the taxes, I know it is a nessicary evel but the biggest problem there is, How do you keep it under control? It seems minorities figure out how to use our own money aginst ourselves. My exsample of this is "GOD". How many people in the US believe in God in one form or another. I would bet it is many times more than the people that don't. It may be exzagerating but it seems easier to swear in public places than to just mention God.

I thought this was interesting. it kind of explains how people don't realise how much they loose to gain a little.

How to catch a wild pig
There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back And stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government.

In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, ' Do you know how to catch wild pigs?'

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke.'You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in The last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how To forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, free medical, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms - just a little at a time.

One should always remember 'There is no such thing as a free Lunch! Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

Also, if you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life then you will probably delete this email, but God help you when the gate slams shut!

Lets start in on walmart while we are at it. I love and hate them at the same time. I love going there and getting things for a good price. I hate them because it is cheap crap made in China and it seems like everyone in there is a filthy vagrant. At least when you go to walmart, you pay less for you Chinese crap then you pay for your chinese crap at other stores.

Yes, they are nibbling away slowly at many of our freedoms.

Yeah it is sad to say that we may not have any freedoms here pretty soon at the rate we are going. This is not what are forefathers had in mind. Times change I guess.
