TAking off axle<HELP>
Looking at the picture , you remove the nut, the two half-rings the guy is holding, remove the threaded part of the lock nut, and then the brake hub should slide right off too. I usually have to work at it because it seems like the splines get messed up just enough to make removal difficult. It all should slide right off. At this point, you should be able to remove the axle pulling it out towards the sprocket side. Sometimes I have to use a big hammer. Not surprisingly, I usually have to replace the axle bearings while I'm at it.....
Are you wanting to take the sprocket hub off? Do you need it for your replacement axle?
If so, you will need to move the hub towards the center of the axle slightly to allow the circle clip to be removed. Then you can slide the hub off the axle towards the wheel hub side.
I had to use a press and heat the hub to get mine off but it slid right on to my DuraBlue.
