process of elimination:

Try someone elses computer and cable on your quad.
-if that works, you know it's not anything with your quad

Try someone elses computer with your cable and quad.
-if quad worked in the previous test, then you know it is your cable.

Try someone elses cable with your quad and computer.
-may not have to do this step

But you get the idea. Don't change everything at once.

Got the new cable from Scooter , IT WORKS!!!!!!!!
Now here's something that you can think on ... I think these cables must be female
MY cable would not work with my pc
It would work with a buddies pc on my machines
His cable would not work with my pc
The new cable works
It's just like women "when it works dont ask why? just enjoy.

So.... Are you selling the "non-working cable"? Perhaps Optimum could look at it and test it for you....?

What the heck.Amazes me the wierd things that happen.Just goes to show never say never!Glad you got it going.I would like to know what Optimum thinks of this.Maybe the Mystery black box communicates with the different D&M versions differently?

I'm sending the (new) old one back to them, I'd say it was bad from the start but it did work some of the time , for a little while. the original cable worked good until the day it melted down

My first cable went up in smoke, too... Scared the crap out of me. I thought I'd shorted something out.
