clutch kit?

Has Barnett or Ebc etc made a clutch kit for our bikes?I would rather not pay big bucks for a stock clutch set up.I think $12 per plate is rather high imo

Wow who quoted you that price? I knew that there was a gold mine out in my garage, thats what I tell the wife anyway.
Shop around a bit more. Good news is that the latest clutch pack is very durable.

Yeah you do pay for a stock clutch, but I guarantee it will out last any Barnett or Ebc clutch kit.

we ran barnetts on our banshee and went thru a couple per season. the last season he ran it we put a toomy clutch kit in and it lasted the whole season and its still in there. of coarse it isn't ridden much anymore. but I believe he ran over 30 races that season.

yeah im just try to refresh this bike more or less,whenever one buys a used machine,theres never a way of telling what you have.I just wondered if there was anything else out there for clutches besides stock.I heard stock clutches are good on the c dales,yeah right i guess c dale thought the stock cranks were too...

I guess the early ones had more and thinner frictions, aluminum plates and weak springs that were not very durable.
But the thick frictions, steel plates and heavier springs took care of that pretty well. About the only improvement you can make on that is to add an additonal steel to the bottom of the stack to keep the first friction ears from bending on the radius of the backet ears and re-adjust it and you should be good for a long time. Good idea to rotate the stack while you are in there.
