ok, i have t check my cams. the ones that got destroyed from the decomp explosion were the 2pin style. if they were 12pin then i was actually going to use them, but hey like i said at least the shear pins broke off and saved my head. sorry, but im still confused in the "minute amount"; are you refering to changing the gear by one pin hole, and if so how much advance / retard is that then? sorry for the confusion, i just dont want to button her up and have problems. like i said i was very happy with stock, but changing the curve and a few hp would be sweet.

tell me about it! the decomp exploded and and a large piece wedged it self in between one of the intake cams lobes. the lobe it self was actually intact, but the bucket basically broke. we could not for the life of us figure why it died with no signs. after getting home did a compression test and did not even have 30psi! figured the piston burned up! we thought that somehow the gear it self stripped and then found that the pins them self sheared off. why did the decomp explode, i have no idea!?! this was a brand new cam / decomp from boomer; and even after all that both cams looked great......rambling.......

That set-up should pull like a freight train down low and sign off just a little early on a stock sized motor. Bigger motors and more top-end motors will want a little higher numbers. The 2 degree split helps a little as well (vs 106/106). Are you running that motor now, if so how does it run?

On my 432 ported motor I am 111in and 108ex with open airfilter and exhaust loss of bottom end isnt a issue.With airbox on and toaster exhaust the bottom end loss is huge but works well for me in the tight Harescramble trails since I am real slow there anyway.Once its revving it hits hard almost Banshee like.54hp with open filter and exhaust 49hp with airbox and toaster.
