Hey,
Just picked up a new to me Cannondale. Thing is practically new. The engine is blown though. Been sitting in the previous owners garage for about 7 years. Anyways, got it apart and found the wristpin circlip had given up. Bottom half of the piston sheared off. The sleeve got gouged, and is also shot. Looks like a billet crakshaft, and H beam rod. So looking at finding where to get the rotating assembly rebuilt, and balanced. Luckily everything looks good. Not to much damage, other than shavings. Everything looks pretty good. Still need to inspect, and check everything.

Post a pic of the crank and the piston.Might be able to save you some trouble since there were some bad cranks and pistons in the past.Best to know what you have there.

Pics would be good, but if its that hurt --- please let one of the reputable builders on this site at least supply you the correct parts/or build you another engine.
