Not sure what my deal is - ever sense I took ownership I cannot keep a charge on the battery for more than ~month. I was kinda lax-a-dazical about battery chargers due to only having a battery charger and not a "maintainer" The charger would cook the battery if not monitored not to mention hooking up the battery was a real pain (nice location). Well no more! I now have a maintainer and look @ the pics, now reconnecting and disconnecting is quick and easy. I'm sure some of you have already deployed this solution but I thought I would share just the same.

Pretty handy . Just an observation the zip tie that is on the frame should be on the harness sheathing . Zip tieing the power leads so they are rubbing right on the frame is inviting a short. And get some silicone rubber on the starter relay red /blue wires because without some type of strain relief the wires break right off where they go into the hard plastic. Is that a low mile quad? Looks pretty clean.

Good point on the wires - my luck would have me broke down on the trail wishing I had a fuse or at least a swath of wire. Low mile quad you ask...Thats all the excuse i need to put up some pics smile.gif I believe it was you that scaled a hour/failure ratio - the baffle in the muffler is just starting to break the welds, guess that puts it around 30hrs.

Thanks - I know this post is going all over the place, but I saw something today that gave me some concern. I thought the green coolant was the good stuff - my valve cover is powder coated black, but am I still at risk for the water pump impeller (assuming the green is bad)?

Yes.Valve cover rot has probably started long ago.

Very nice. I like the polished wheels. Might have to try that myself.

BTW - is it me or are your radiator shrouds on the wrong sides? I always did them so that they were more or less vertical at the front and so that they extended more to the front than to the back...

No its not you - I had them off and my dyslexic azz put them on the wrong way. As for the wheels, I have always preferred the polished or even not polished wheels to the black. Even on cars, just cant get used to it.
