On my diamond racing a-arms i keep having a problem with the lower ball joint spinning while we tighten the nut. where it connects the spindle to the ball joint, the bolt just spins inside the nut and ball joint, making it impossible for us to tighten them. You have to take a vice grip and put it on the threads of the bolt, or the bottom of the ball joint right above the rubber boot ( making sure nothing is damaged) to put them on correctly..
are these ball joints sopossed to work like this? and WHY!?
or is something very wrong here..we even put a new ball joint in there and it does the same thing. Wierd thing is, it is only doing this on the one side, not the other:confused:
please help me..we'll get htem on for rausch tomorrow, but i really want to know what is wrong here!

JayBr , thanks, but care to elaborate more on this?
we turn the spindle all the way in one direction so it binds it up? then just start tigtening down the ball joint?
and how come only one side does this..not the other?
we need another ball joint since this one is trashed, so we'll call Big Winky on monday

I don't know if he sells the tapered spacer seperate or not, might as well call him and ask. I have some pics but they need to be downsized so you can see the little cone shape iti s. its basically and upside down cone with 2 open ends that goes inside your spindel so the ball joint sits at a different angle. I'm kinda hoping i can figure out a way to run spherical bearing (heim) joints with these arms..
