On any machine I've done an Oil change on I can usually spot some metal shavings. I'm wondering how much is too much on the cannondale and should I expect some during break in?
yes u will expect some shavings on breakin but they should go away within a few oil changes...

The trannies usually have slightly silvery oil due to clutch plate edge wear. If you had a a engine failure like crank or cams expect metal in the filter (unless you installed an inlet magnet). After the first change it should be nothing .
Going to pay attention to the next change. Hey Wistech how much oil are you putting into your machine after a full drain and what kind of oil are you using?
