will they fit? or what kind of modification will have to be done to make them work? ( such as trimming or adding bushings or anything to them) thanks..
will my cdale shocks fit on a z400?
They can fit, but it is a different shaft size from Cannondale to suzuki. The Cannondale shaft is 16 and some inches where the z is 17" What this means our shocks on a z 400 will drop the ride hieght, but give the front end more stress. I got all of this from Elka. I had the same thought not too long ago.

alright but im not the one with the z400..but the person buying it is going to get the shocsk revalved, and they are the long travel ohlins that he'll get done. If they are set up for a z400 not a cdale wouldn't they work much better?
also, how would you manage to cut the bushing at the bottom? when the bushings are metal? just bust out the dremel?

If you are using the Ohlins just cal them up for new bushings...The problem with the dale shocks to ohlins is travel and stress. You can have them revalved, but it won't make up for the shorter shaft length. Call Elka suspension and ask them about it. If it isn't your bike and you don't care yes they will work.
