Ok, too start off I was working on taking my engine out and I let my cousin help me, well I had too go pick my up some stuff from the Auto store and I told him not too touch anything because, he's not exactly all that mechanically inclined (I'm not either, but I can do alot more stuff than him) Well, anyhow he decided too "help" out by removing my swing-arm pivot bolt. Well too cut the story short, theres a punch stuck in the shifter side of the pivot bolt and a long screw driver stuck in the brake side.
I'll post pictures in a few minutes.
BIG Problem with Swing-arm Pivot Bolt
Well, I don't think its very funny:rolleyes:
Also, I shoulda known better than leave him alone like that, it isnt the first thing like this that he has done.
Anyhow, I have no clue how too get them out, I can see that the shifter side of the pivot bolt is starting too split. I tried pulling the screw driver out with some pliers......but just the handle came off:mad:
Any suggestions, I'ma order a new pivot bolt first thing Monday.

clamp some visegrips on the punch and screwdriver tightly and tap them with a hammer while pulling back on them. or if you have an air compresser you could grind the punch off and using a die grinder, grind the end of the bolt off or grind the punch out. if you have a welder you could weld a nut on to the ends of both and use a slide hammer type of device to yank them out.
