x440s

#1 Post by Lippy91 »

I just heard a couple of people in New England race with the X440s bike map. Just wondering if any of you have tried this map in a quad. They thought this map was better than any of the quad maps. HHmmmmmmm

I run the x440 map in NEATV-MX. Pete informed me that Ben Asef who raced for him and cannondale prefered this map. I havent tried ne other maps so im not the best to say which is good and not. All i know is it pulls harder then the speed map.

Check out the dyno runs posted in the Open forum. The X map is good but doesn't get'er done quite as well as the combo maps that have been created since. The S bike map also had more power than the X if I can remember right. They deliver the power differently than the quad maps it looks like in the dynos.

That X440S ('01-'02 models) had an awesome bottom end :head: It was a ***** to ride smooth though...
"Lightswitch" would be the best way to describe the agressiveness of this map. I've tried most maps in my Supermotard and this one will break traction mid-corner in the dry sad.gif

The map writers actually detuned that map for the latter X440 MX model.

So would you recommend it for mx.(X440s)It's probably sweet for those shorter tracks with alot of cornering that you have to power out of.

I would think one of the hybrid maps would work best. The dyno graph for the x map is a mountain with a very steep peak, but it is quite linear. The hybrid quad maps are more of a plateau. I don't know about you, but I would rather be at or near peak hp for 3-5k rpm vs. 500. Having a peaky map might be fun though. I think I need to try it out.

Hey Euro: the earlier X map hits harder than the later?
Well, brainstorm here:
old X map up to about 6000 RPM, then kick in speed map for topend.
I have tried the x map, but didn't like the topend, felt flat on top and quit pulling.

Yup!
'01-'02 X440S was a nice ride, just ask midwestrider over on 'dalers...
Used the same frame as the original MX400...Boy was that thing a hoot to ride :head:

Sounds like a good idea with the SPEED map attatched.
Make sure to mail me a copy.

Cool deal. I'll try and download it this week and try it out. How about a T.S. of 110?? The faster things happen, that faster you'll get there. smile.gif
