Now the real question. What do you do if the thread inside the seat no longer is good???

Did the brass piece just back out or are the threads messed up?

The whole thread came out. I now have a big hole. I have tried to glue the piece back in but it came right back out..

This happend to Marty's! We used some JB Weld to glue it in, then we used our seat latch and it hasn't come out since! You won't be unscrewing it anymore so it won't have a chance to come out.

Thanks Jeff I am going to try to glue the thread back in and try that first. I know this sounds bad, but there is a big hole where the threads used to be. I am not sure if I have enough to grip anymore.
