Looky what I got today!!!

#1 Post by cheetah5431 »

Well never even had anything like it on my mind this morning, but saw it at a small trading post on my way back from lunch. I had to stop and check it out and ended up walking away with it. I've always wanted a project to fix up and now I have one. Not sure what year, but the frame has no cracks or welds, motor starts on first kick, and all bearings and bushings are tight. The plastics have no cracks and are barely scratched. I got her for $1350 I think I got a pretty good deal. So now I have me a project quad for winter. How fast can I really get these things to go?

Needs a few small things like chain and sprockets, shifter, and a few bolts. Other than that good to go.

That will be a sweet project.

If you have any problems finding parts, contact Greg at CWR. He specializes in Kawi's and races a Tecate 717.637.1907

BTW: I met your dad at the Patriot but never did catch up with you.

Yea he told me about that. I was pretty disappointed. Thanks for the hookup though Jay I may get started on her here in the next week or so. However, the dale still gets the most attention keeping it ready for races. You going to be at any more? I would really like to meet you.

I had one of those about 8 years ago. Had +3 a-arms, extended swing arm etc... I loved that bike. They are very comfortable to ride, every control is right where you'd want it. It ended up literally wrapped around tree.

awesome find!

I love those things. Unfortunately, I have never had the opportunity to ride one. I almost stopped to look at a couple 80's quads yesterday. Good luck with it and have fun!
