I used a 400ex hub on mine temporarily while waiting for a new one and it went on with just some minor tapping with a hammer. I used lots of antisieze to and when it was removal time I ended up having to get it glowing cherry red with a torch and a sledgehammer to remove it. Dont use honda hubs.
Yes it was a stock axle. I think it might be the width of the spline teeth are just a hair wider on the stock axles. Is a stock hub loose on a lonestar. My rpm axle had some play with stock hubs.
I've got one RPM and one Lonestar, they both have a little play if the nuts not tight. I just use the Honda hubs to get it wider, it's not a full 50" with mx tires and Cannondale hubs.
I feel a little better after reading this post. I'm removing my hubs right now and the castle nuts are seized to the axle. I've used a 6' cheater bar and also tried a phneumatic impact wrench...The next thing I will be trying is HEAT.
