long travel rear suspension

If you had houser +1 cross country arms and elka LT shocks how would you make the rear of the cannondale long travel in the rear ?

Just use a shock with the most travel you can get, like an Elka. There isn't a way to make the 'Dale "long travel" in the rear, per se.

Some others have told me that if you put a long travel suspension in the front that is would be unbalanced and I was wondering how to put a LT in the front and make the rear be balanced with the front?

Jacob,

How many of your friends have a Dale and the long travel set-up? I'll bet none. The long travel set-up is designed to give a near stock ride hieght with longer travel, hence "long travel". If you put longer than normal shocks on either application you would have a problem. That is why the shock length is different on the two set-ups. Do not even try using the shorter shocks on the long travel a-arms or vice versa. Jeff from the Quad shop has stated this many times...

well my plan is to put +1 LT housers in the front with LT elka and I want to know what or anything I have to do the rear to make the suspension work properly and not throw the balance off

I am going to go with and elka in the rear too I am just wondering if this setup will all work together? zps elkas

Jacob, I'm guessing that you have the stock Ohlins rear? This will be fine, but if you want to upgrade and give yourself more travel in the rear, then buy an Elka. Don't worry about balance, tons of guys run SSD fronts and stock Ohlins in the back, because they are a pretty good shock.

So this should be ok with the long travel houser suspension setup in the front? Going with an elka in the back?

An Elka in the back is the longest travel you can get on the rear of a Cannondale. Their is absolutely nothing wrong with that setup, you should love it.
