Pikes Peak
Has anyone ever tried racing the Pikes Peak Int. Hill Climb on a cdale? It seems like its logical since our ecu can adjust for the altitude. I know the ATV class would be from 400cc-700cc, so it might not be fast enough. Lets' get a big cc quad out there and try it. I'll be the test pilot:)

Try this.... http://ppihc.com/ I would love to try it. I saw it on ESPN today...thats why I was curious about it. They always have banshees on there but I never see any 4 strokes. I think last year a guy on a banshee won it and I think he was around 9th place overall. He beat most of the cars and trucks.

F. Quad Class:
o 250cc-500cc 2-stroke single cylinder or twin cylinder production model ATV or a single cylinder production motorcycle engine. See 6.A.
o 400cc-700cc 4-stroke single cylinder production model ATV engine or production motorcycle engine. See 6.A.
6. Quads/ATVs -
A. Only production engines, available through normal dealer channels, may be used. They must be available to all competitors.
1) Production engines are defined as orginally fitted to a mass produced factory ATV or motorcycle with homologation numbers exceeding 250. Competitors should be prepared to provide legal documentation if requested.
2) Four stroke engines must utilize the factory produced crankcase, cylinder and head. Internal modifications are permitted, but those modifications must not change the basic design of the engine.
3) Two stroke engines must utilize the factory produced crankcase and cylinder but may, however, use aftermarket heads. Internal modifications must not change the basic engine design.
4) The Falken Tire Pikes Peak International Hill Climb reserves the right to disqualify, at any time, an engine and its competitor which over steps that intent of these rules.
5) Any engine changes during the week must meet the approval of the Director of Competition with input from the Motorcycle Referee.
B.
2 Cycle - The 500cc class limit can be exceeded to a maximum of a 0.080" overbore. This is interpreted to mean that if the bore were 0.080" smaller than it is, the engine would be no larger than 500cc.
4 Cycle - 700cc max. including overbore. All exterior engine castings must be OEM production.
C. Only normally aspirated, carbureted engines will be allowed. Fuel injection, supercharging, turbocharging, and nitrous oxide injection are disallowed.
D. Tire track width, as an outer dimension, must not exceed fifty (50") inches for both front and rear tires. Tire type is unregulated.
E. Nerf bars must be used with webbing installed in such a manner that it would protect against a rider's foot or leg being trapped in an upset.
F. Steering must be accomplished by handlebars.
G. No chassis or body modifications are allowed that would or could entrap a rider in the event of accident.
1) Experimental or otherwise non-traditional design must be authorized by the T.D./Referee prior to arrival for tech inspection.
H. Titanium frames are not allowed.
