how to mount the Denton steering stabilizer

#1 Post by cdalerider75 »

Does anyone have a pic on how to mount the Denton steering stabilizer? I just called them to see what they have and the only thing that they don't have anymore is the stem mount, which they said I could just use the hole by the ball joints. So far I have been told to go with non-rebuildable works better ( I have only been told this) Now I have also been told that I could get the Honda 450R and mill out the mount, but I am not sure how much you would have mill out.

So does anyone have pic's on the install/mount and does anyone suggest just going with the Honda 450R one??

Also can anyone do better than the 135$$

Can everyone tell that I am a newbie yet, questions question questions!!!

Here you go.Mine I used the stem mount milled out since my first stem didnt have the damper mount. When you install it the important thing is that the damper is still free at full lock both directions. It should wiggle easily when steering is all the way left and right.

Ok so I got my Denton steering dam in today, so what does the 7 position adjustability mean?? Is there a way to adjust how much it will absorb?? also I didn't request the 400ex bracket for the steering stem, I was going to mount as shown in the following thread

will this mounting method still work just the same??

That will work great. You will want to set it just that you dont notice any resistance in turning the bars while riding.Mine is normally on 2 if I am in some rocky area or TT high speed I will go a click or two more.
