Steering Stabilizer

#1 Post by CptHook »

I know there is a thread just like this on this forum, but not to disrupt the one already running, here is my question. Im in the market for a new steering stablizer, already talked to doug, said not to keep my hopes up on that one, so now I turn to you guys, you know where I can get a new one to fit my 03 speed? Id rather not have to make it a hack job, I only want to do that if there is no other options. I dont know if I like the idea of getting one on ebay just because of the risk of getting one and needing a rebuild or a new one after a week of use. So let the suggestions begin.

ATV Addiction does or used to sell some for the C'Dales. They were supposed to be specially made and not for a Honda or anything. Can't recall if they were Denton or what but they had them on Ebay not too long ago and used to be on the online shop.

Say Cpthook you might want to look at this post

http://www.cannondaleriders.com/vbb/showth...=&threadid=7788

So far the Steering Dam has been one of the best investments according to my arm's..

Call Denton, get the non re-buildable for 135$ + 20$ clamp they know which one, you can talk to scott there, it will take about 3 weeks for them to get it out to you and you will have to stay on them, but the pay off is worth it

BTW how did you come up with the name Cpthook??

so did u order one for a 400ex or a cannondale?

CptHook refers to "Captain Hook" a nickname my friends gave me, long story on that one, nicknames seem to be a thing between my friends and the people I work with, here is all the spoken nicknames I can remember ever having or being given by people: Captian Hook, RickaTicka, Rmoney (like Armani), Bottles, Barrels, Rocket, Roadie, Brute Force, and plenty of others I cant think of off the top of my head, so yeah. did you order one for a 400ex or cannondale

I just told them that I had a Cannondale and they knew what to send me... only took 3 weeks and 10 phone calls.. That is b/c they moved buildings and they have to machine out the frame clamp from round to square...ya just need to make sure they are processing the order.. but def worth it

calll Jeff@TQS, thats wshere i got mine, its just a 400ex one, the yfz also will work,a nd the 450R they are all the same.. i tried adn swapped around at the loretta's national and the dale's worked on my yfz for an entire moto, and the same went for vice versa..

just do NOT use the tabs on ur steering stem, put it on there like it shows and goes on the rest of the quads.. much easier
