NEW Cannondale S440
NEW Cannondale S440
Okay guys I am sure you have seen the pics of the new Dale and know the history. I just purchased the 2003 S440 brand new as a left over and after two hours of use the engine failed on me but luckily my local dealer was great to me and rebuild it from another left over cannondale so once again I am where I started from with a New Zero Hour Rare S440 #35. This bike is plated and I am waiting for the title in the mail. I should receive it in a few weeks. I am thinking of selling her so if anyone is interested let me. I am sure everyone here knows what is on the bike and that basically includes the best of everything! Full Ohlins, Brembo 320 up front with wave rotor, etc....
Thanks
James

PS reason for selling, I honestly don't think I am a good enough mechanic to own a Cannondale
Thanks

There is a big difference from the S440 compared to what Pompton has sitting on the showroom floor, they do have two Dales for 4995 but they do not come with all Supermoto stuff and I am not sure if any of you realize how much it is to set a motard up? The brakes on the S440 alone are worth 1500 and the wheels are another grand.

You are correct. But that does not change the market value on Cannondales these days. Take a look at the quad values. It's hard to sell a Moto for much more than a Cannibal.
I almost bought a mint S440 bike last week for $900. I was 1/2 hour late making the deal. I needed to make a call and see if the engine would work in a quad. (Don't kill me Doug). I watch eBay constantly and have almost jumped on 2 or 3 others that sold for less than $2000.
It's a sad, sad, sad reality that our parts seperatly are worth more than a running machine. I have still not figured that out yet.
I, for one, really hope you get the price you are asking for it. I want to see our investements going up. But I doubt that is going to start happening,if at all, until after tax season when people start buying again. :usa
